About:Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

i will be transiting in Chongqing for 12 hours at night, do we need to apply for a visa?

Hi,
i hold an Australian passport and my wife holds and Indonesian passport. i read about the 24 hour visa exemption but are we allowed to leave the transit area ? wouldn't mind booking a hotel near the airport and getting some sleep.

thank you for your help.

No, you don't need a visa. If you want to leave the transit area, just apply for a stay permit in the airport.
