About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does the flight into Beijing and the flight out of Beijing need to be on the same ticket?

same airlines? I am buying a ticket from Los Angeles to Beijing, and a separate ticket from a separate airlines from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar that leaves 3 days later. Will I qualify for the 144 hours TWOV? Thanks so much!

It doesn't have to be on the same ticket and airlines. Your trip qualifies for the 144h twov in Beijing. Nice trip.
