You are qualified for the visa free transit and can apply for the 144-hour visa exemption when the first time you arrive at Shanghai Airport. As for your return trip, visa is not required if you do not go out of the airport. Otherwise, you can apply for the free transit again if you would like to leave the airport. Hope it helps!
