About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

Shanghai Disney for 144hr free exemption

We will be visiting China for the first time and we are not sure about the visa process. If we fly from US to Hong Kong and then to Shanghai and are staying less than 144 hours. Would the free transit exemption apply if the return flight is Shanghai you Hong Kong to US?

Do you mean you will travel like US-HK-Shanghai-HK-US, right? If yes, you won't qualify for the 144hr free transit exemption because HK-Shanghai-HK is not a transit at all. For your reference, US-HK-Shanghai-US will be fine for the free transit in Shanghai.
