About:China Visa

Do I need a Chinese visa to travel by train from Hanoi to Hong Kong on a UK passport?

Would like to travel by overnight train from Hanoi to Hong Kong. This takes 24 hours, changing at Nanning and Guangzhou. Do I need a visa? We will be travelling using British passports, and hope to travel in less than two weeks time.

If your total layover time in Nanning and Guangzhou is less than 24 hours, you avail of the 24h twov. Otherwise, you are supposed to apply for a tourist L type before your trip.
