About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

For a 5-months training, Do I need a Residence Permit?

Hi, my three workmates and I are planning a 5-months internship training at an automotive manufacturing company in China. Do we still need to apply for a temporary residence permit?

If you enter mainland China under valid visa, you need to go to the local police station to register after you enter. But if you will stay in a hotel, you don't need to do that then, and no need to apply for temporary residence permit, either.
