About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

plan to trasit through Shanghai and staying there around 16 hours on way to Korea.

I am korean and wife is American. plan to trasit through Shanghai and staying there around 16 hours on way to Korea. Is it still ok for 72 hours visa exemption? I simply tell the counter when I check in from de[arture location in USA then No problem?

You are eligible for the 24h twov in Shanghai. You are supposed to tell the airlines when you board the flight in USA.
