Hello my wife is Chinese do I have to apply every time for q2 and have supporting letter even when I have marriage book?

If you have single entry Q2 type, you should apply every time for Q2 type to enter mainland China. You can try to apply for Q1 type in your country. If it can be succeed, you can apply for a residence permit after entering China. The residence permit will allow you to exit and enter for multiple times within its validity. Just give it a try.
