i want to visit a friend (chinese national) in china for an extended visit.

Question

She can issue an invitation letter and copies of her ID card.  I will visit her and stay with her for the length of time allowed and I would like to return in coming years.  Do I apply for Q2?  We are not related.  Thank you!

I'm afraid you cannot apply for Q2.The successful application requirements are: (either of them)1. You have Chinese relatives. 2. You have a foreign relative and he/she has permanent residence in China. In addition, you can only stay 180 days.
