private car or bus ok?We also want to see xi Tang while staying in SZ but we're only in SZ 1 night before leaving for Shanghai the next eve. What is best way to get to Xi Tang for visit from SZ please?

You can take a bus from HZ Bus Station to WZ, it takes about 1.5 hours to get there. Then taking a bus to SZ is available and the journey time is about 1.5 to 2 hours. You can take a bus from SZ South Bus Station to Xitang. It departs from 7:45 to 18:10 with an interval about 1 hour and it takes about 1.5 hour for a single journey.
