About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Tourist being offered a job

I am a tourist who were recently offered a job. Should I return to my mother country and request for working visa or can I do that while in Shanghai?

You can try to change the L type into work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go back to your home country for that.
