About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I would like to know transit visa requirements for China.

Hi,
We would like to fly from Toronto to Singapore next month, my transit at Shanghai, China (PVG).We have to wait about less than 24hours for our next connecting flight. We will not be leaving the Airport.
My self and my Daughter holding Canadian passport holder but My Mother Srilnaka passport holder and Canadian Permanent Residence. I have some question for the China transit visa. As a Srilanka passport holder / Canadian passport holder do We need to apply for transit G?

Canadian passport holder don't need to apply for transit G for the trip. But the Sri Lanka passport holder needs to apply for it beforehand.

Thanks for the reply. My Mother srilanka passport holder but she has Canadian permanent residence. Our next flight waiting hours less than 24hours (I think it’s 5hours) even though do she need to take transit visa? I just want to make sure it?

She needs a transit G type for that.

How many days is valid for transit G? Because when she come back to return trip( Singapore to Toronto) also transit through China.how much for transit
visa? Please advice me?

The duration of stay is usually 30 days. It may cost CAD 142.00 per person.

She needs type G (or L may be sufficient) but it needs to be dual or multiple entry to travel through China twice.
