About:Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Time to visit the Lijiang Jade Dragon Mountain

Hello!

I would like to know if it's possible to visit the mountain in only one day,
if I get there at 7 (since it opens at 7) and then go to the
White water river
Spruce Meadows
Yak Meadows
And then in the early afternoon go up to the Glacier park.
- Is this the best order to visit those places?
- Is there any place to buy food there? Or is it advisable to take food with me?
- I know that there are down jacket I can rent there, will the rent shop be open at 7?

Do you know if I can buy the tickets online in advance? Also of the cable ways? I can read Chinese so it's fine if it's only in Chinese.

Yes, most certainly. You don't have to leave so early, usually around 8-8.30am is alright. The ticket restrictions (10000 per day) for Glacier Park means you may not be able to go up that cableway easily if you don't go with an agency or get the trip arranged through a hotel but Yak Meadow, Spruce Meadow, Blue Moon Valley and White Water Valley are alright.

The sequence is usually to visit Glacier Park first (if you manage to get the tickets with the morning timing), followed by maybe the Impression Lijiang show (in the park) and then Blue Moon Valley (which is next to White Water Valley). Most people will not go up more than one of the cableways as it is time-consuming to do so so it might be worthwhile to choose. Glacier Park is, however, less crowded in the afternoons so going up then is also not a bad choice.

- Food: not a lot of choice inside, there is boxed lunches, snack stands (selling Chinese sausages and tea eggs etc), and hotpot. Suggest that you pack your own sandwich
- Down jackets: quite ugly and not worth the price, just bring along your own thicker jacket
