About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Medical examination for age extension of a residence permit?

I have a three-year contract with one of the Chinese universities. I was granted a residence permit for one year. Soon I will have to extend the residence permit and I wonder whether I have to pass the physical examination again?
