About:Guangzhou Train Schedule

Train from Guangzhou to Guilin

Hi, we are a group of 6. Our flight arrives in Guangzhou on 8 Dec at 1.35 pm. We want to straightaway take a train to Guilin. What is the best way to go to the train station from Baiyun International airport? Can we easily get tickets at the station on the day itself? We dare not buy tickets 1st as we are unsure about timing eg flight might be delayed and how long is journey from airport to train station. What is your advice? Thank you

For this trip, most of the high speed rides would go from South Station. You may take metro line 3 to Jiahewanggang and then change to line 2 there to reach the South Station. The time needed for this transfer is around 1.5 hours. For this trip, maybe it is better to make the booking in advance as Guilin is a popular travel destination. Although Dec is not a hot season, the ticket availability is still hard to predict.

Or maybe you can leave more time for this process and choose a late ride in case there is any delay of the flight etc. If you reach the station earlier than expectation, you may try to change to other early ride. The ticket can be changed one time if there are still seats availavle. Even you cannot change to an early one, you still have seats on the original one.
