About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will I need to get two visas

I have a r/t ticket from the US to Shanghai, arriving on Sat and leaving on following Friday back to the US. However, I have another r/t ticket from Shanghai airport to Hong Kong also leaving that same Saturday after my arrival in Shanghai til Thursday.

Will I be able to use the 72/144 hr twov or will I be able to get another one in less than a week

As long as you actually fly the separate ticket Shanghai > Hong Kong > Shanghai as they do track it. If you don't, you could have problems when you fly back to the USA.

So USA > Shanghai (up to 144 hours) > Hong Kong is one transit
Then it resets and you get another Hong Kong > Shanghai (up to 144 hours) > USA.
Bring e-ticket receipt (aka confirmation email referencing the 16 digit ticket number which is in format XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXX
