About:Chinese Consulate in Christchurch

short term stop over

Hi, we are traveling to London via Shanghai and want to stop over for two and a half days to give our grand daughter a China experience , do we need visas for this short time ?
Our grand daughter is Australian , and if we need visas can we apply for hers along with ours in Christchurch ?

If you would travel like New Zealand-Shanghai (2 days)-UK, you are eligible for 144h twov in there. No visa is needed, and you can leave the airport to explore Shanghai.
