About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

144 hr Beijing Hotel Registration

I assume major hotels will do foreign guest registration but if staying at courtyard style hotel will they support travelers in this -- Or will I likely have to find a police station to check in with?

It’s hard to say, some will accept you but some will not. Try to find some large hotels.
