How long is an L-type Visa good for? 30 days or 90? Can I extend once I'm in China?

Visiting friends and I will most likely stay for a few months if I can.

Usually, the duration of stay for L type is 30 days. Sometimes, you may be given 60 days or 90 days. It's possible to extend it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You can have a try.
