About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canadian traveler

If I fly to Beijing from Canada and want to use the 144hr option to stay in Beijing and then I will be travelling to Hong Kong and heading back to Canada from HK. Do I qualify for the twov? I have heard mixed things about airlines even knowing about the free stays. I would hate to get turned away because of some employee that doesn't know the rules.

It's not a visa. Hundreds of people transit without visa every day and you are unlikely to have a problem.
