About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise. We fly from The Netherlands via Dubai to Shanghai

stay there for 50 hours and then enter a cruise ship in Baoshan (Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port Cruise Terminal), then one day at sea, then one day in South Korea, then one day at sea, then 60 hours in Beijing, then more ports in Korea and Japan and fly back home from Japan (no stops in China).
Do we need a visa?

You need a visa because of the Korea-China-Korea part of your itinerary.

Because Korea-China-Korea isn't a transit in China and therefore transit without visa does not apply.
