About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transfer to Hong Kong

Is the 24 or 72 hours transit also valid for a stopover in shanghai when flying to Hong Kong afterwards?

There's no 72h twov in Shanghai, just 24 and 144h.

If you fly country A - Shanghai - Hong Kong then you're fine if you fly on a dutch passport.

But if you fly Hong Kong - Shanghai - Hong Kong then you need to apply for a visa.
