About:Beijing Railway Station

Connection at Beijing Railway Station

Do I need to leave the station (and take a baggage control one more time) if I have the next train in 3-4 hours at the same station? Would appreciate your datailed answer! Thank you.

Yes，you could transfer at the station, you could ask the staff or other passengers when you get the station.
