About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Hong Kong to China for 1 day via train?

I'm a USA citizen and will be in Hong Kong for 1 week. May I take the train to visit China for 1 day with my passport and no entry permit?

I would consider visiting any Chinese City that is close to Hong Kong such as Guanzhou. My daughter is studying in Hong Kong and has a student visa for Hong Kong. I will visit her and we want to visit China for 1 day. Thank-you

You are advised to contact the Guangzhou port to inquire if you can get VOA in there. If you can get it, there is no need to apply for a visa for Guangzhou then.

You will need a visa to go to Guangzhou by train. You may be eligible for visa on arrival at Shenzhen.
