About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

10 hr transit at Guangzhou and city tour...need visa? from where to get?

I am a US citizen, going to Sri lanka for a vacation. I have a 10 hr transit in Guangzhou, which I am planning to take a city tour. Do I need entry permit, if so where should I apply from? is it on arrival at the counters?

If Guangzhou is your only stop in China then you don’t need a visa. Whether you can leave the airport or not will be at the discretion of the immigration officer.
