Do I need visa when transit in Beijing Capital Airport?

I previously did a 72-hour Visa in Shanghai (same type of visa now being 144-hour).

1. The day that you land don't count. Ex: if you land on oct. 5 then you can leave BJ on the 11.
2. Yours tickets must *NOT* have others airports landing in mainland China.

*** My bad experience: o.k. : Canada - Shanghai - Hong Kong.

but on my return: Macao - ***** transit by Shanghai ***** - BJ - Canada.

Fixing the problem in Macao: I had to pay a direct flight to Shanghai then Canada.

Here it would have 2 landing in Mainland China.

Note: Macao and Hong Kong are considered as similar to a country as Japan.
