About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

London to Hong Kong

Hi there, I wish to fly to Hong Kong in September. The flights I have looked at do not stop over in Beijing. Can I book a flight from Hong kong to Beijing and say there for 48 hours before returning back to Hong kong and then London without a Chinese visa?

If not, how do I find a flight with a layover long enough for me to stay in Beijing for 48 hours

Many thanks,
Sam

Sam, if your trip would be Hong kong-Beijing (48 hours)-HK, you won't qualify for the free transit policy because it's not a transit.
