Chinese working visa application

Hello, i just got my master degree from a chinese university and got my job, my question is: to apply for the chinese entry permit do i need to go back to my country (italy) or can i do it from here?i'm asking this cause some months ago i read about a new policy for foreign graduates in China that allow to apply directly from here.
