Do i need a visa for Beijing if i have a mongolian entry permit and alien card

I am flying to Beijing on my way to Monglolia and would like to stay in Beijing for a couple of days.
I would only be there 3 days max. I have a british passport, but live in Australia with a permanent residency and i work in Mongolia which i have entry permit and alien card for.
Do i need entry permit for Beijing for 3 days?
My partner is traveling from Mongolia to Beijing to meet me, she is Mongolian and as a mongolian passport, doe she require entry permit to enter Beijing.
