About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour transit visa? I'm flying from LAX to Qingdao, China.

Will be there for a total of 12 hours at the airport then flying over to Xiamen, China for a total of 2 hours at the airport, then flying to my destination to Phuket, Thailand. Will I need to get a Chinese entry permit, or will a 72 hour free transit be okay, since I will not be leaving either airports.

As long as your flight is scheduled to leave China within 24 hours of the first landing in china and you have USA Passport and you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit visa. You will not be eligible for more than the 24 hours due to more than one stop.
