About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting through PVG Airport from VTE

My daughter in law has a valid Laos PDR passport and will be transiting with me for a visit in the LA, CA US. I am a US citizen, so can she obtain a visa upon arrival? Is it free or does she have to apply ahead of the trip? There is a change in planes in PVG.

Hi, if your layover time in PVG is within 24 hours, and you won't leave the airport, she can apply for the 24h twov upon arrival, and no need to apply for a visa in advance.
