You’d better avoid June, July and August, which is the travel peak and the hottest period in China. Besides, National Day(October 1 - 7) is another travel hot season in China. So travel to China in September is a perfect time with nicer weather and less tourists.

Climbing Badaling Great Wall is greatly advised to you and there is cable car up and down, which is a good choice for tourists of old people and babies. There are too many good attractions in China and you can get the relevant information on this website about the group tours. If you have any questions, you can write e-mails to travel@travelchinaguide.com.

China is VERY baby friendly. I went twice with a 1 & 2 yo. Pack a baby-wearing carrier and being a lightweight stroller.
