About:China Transit Visa

do i need visa for exploring shanghai while on lay over

Hi, I am traveling from YVR- Vancouver to DEL- Delhi and have two layovers in my round trip ie. 9hrs and 18hrs. i am willing to visit some interesting places in Shanghai during my layover and wanted to know if i need any visa for that or not. i am Indian citizen

Simranjeet, you qualify for 24h twov in Shanghai in both directions, but leaving the airport cannot be guaranteed. Some reported that bringing a hotel reservation will help. You can have a try. Good luck.
