About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi Are we eligible for 144hr free visa

We fly from Aust to shanghai on 20 August stay in shanghai for 4 nights, board a cruise to Korea which arrives in Hong Kong a week later. I am pretty sure the first part covers the 144hr free transit, but what happens when you enter again for 24hours by ship?. Please note that the cruise disembarks in Australia 😁

For the 144h policy, Hong Kong isn't a part of mainland and you can enter it visa free as an Australian passport holder.

When you leave Shanghai, do you have another stop in mainland before arriving in Korea or Hong Kong?
