Flying in from Ho Chi Minh City to London, have to stay over in Guangzhou (airlines changed flight)

can I travel to Hong Kong on the 24 or 72 hour visa? Lots of conflicting information.

No, you can’t leave Guangdong Province with 72 hour visa. If you want to travel to HK, you have to apply for another visa.
