Transit in Shenzhen airport

I have an Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumper to Shenzhen with an overlay of 3 hours before flying out to Cairns, Australia with Hainan Airlines.

I know Shenzhen didn't do the TWOV but I read an article that is was coming into place. Just wondering if I would still need a visa without leaving the airport?

Hi, Dan, there is no free transit in Shenzhen, so you should apply for a visa for that trip beforehand.
