Long distance buses fron Chongqing to Chengdu

From CKG airport , which is the closest long distance bus station that goes to Chengdu and where do biuses arrive in Chengdu? I would like to arrive near the Chengdu South RR Station if that is even possible. If not, is there a Chengdu arrival station near metro lines 1 or 7?

Maybe the CQ North Station South square bus station is the closest one, but you still need to spend around one hour to get there by metro line 2. There is only one bus departing at 10:00 to CD Bus Station, where you can directly take metro line 7 to get CD South Railway Station.

Thank you, Stan I need a plan B because my plane is not scheduled to arrive at CKG until 12:25 PM. What website will tell you where the bus arrives in Chengdu? The sites I have looked at just say "Chengdu".

I’m sorry I got it wrong. I checked it again, it is "Chengdu". So how about taking a bullet train? There are more than 30 high speed trains departing from CQ North Railway Station and it takes about 2hours to get CD East Railway Station. It takes about 25 minutes to get CD South Station from there by metro line 7.

Thanks again, Stan I was hoping to avoid the chaos of the train station on Oct.3 which I understand is the last day of the National Holiday. If I do book a train to CD from CQ, do I have the ability to exchange my ticket at the station for a later train if my flight is delayed? I would rather not spend the night in CQ because I booked my hotel in CD beginning Oct.3.

No, actually it’s not the last day of the National Holiday; it’s just the third day. They have 7 days off. Yes, you can change your ticket in the same day.
