About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

My friends with Pasport from Netherlands arrive in Beijing were denied for a 144 h transit visa.

They came directly from Amsterdam-Netherland and wanted to stay 3 days in BJ and fly to Sydney-Australia. We still do not understand why this was denied. You have any idea?

Hi, if the route is qualified, then maybe there are some reasons like that: 1) they are not able to show any of the required documents required 2) or they have overstayed in a country or been refused in visa application before.

Thanks for this reply. Could you specify the documents required? Because that is not clear. Thanks

If their Beijing to Sydney flight had a stop in China (for example if they were on China Southern) then they would be correctly refused. But without knowing the exact itinerary this is just speculation.
