About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

Can I get a working Visa in China if I have NO DEGREE?

Hi I am 19 Years old and I am studying Mandarin in China, I made a friend whom wants to give me a job at his school after I have finished my Mandarin studies.

I have no degree? Thus how can I get a Z?

Even if I do not have one can he still give me a letter saying that his school does'nt care about the degree and he just wants to employ me?

Or what steps should I take regarding this?

Christiaan, based on what I know, a bachelor degree is needed when you apply for the work permit which is a necessary document for work Z type. Thus, I cannot give you a definite answer. Just give it a try. Good luck.

I have been working in China for 3 years now. You are not allowed a legal Z to teach at a school without a degree. In the past 12 months hundreds of illegal workers have been arrested and deported. Please, be safe and do not accept your friend's offer. Get your degree and then come over to teach. China is a wonderful place and needs many fully-qualified teachers. :)
