how to apply tourists visa?

I m working in a cruise ship my family want to travel with me for 1month  in China (Shanghai)so which visa I need to apply and how I need to apply from India.

I think you can try to apply for tourist L type for that. First, prepare passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Next, submit the application to the CVASC in India to apply for that.
