About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use the 72 hour visa twice in a month

I am planning to fly to Beijing on a Thursday and Friday. Then depart to Tokyo for the next four days and then fly to Shanghai for the following Wednesday and Thursday. I am a UK citizen.
Am I allowed to do this please?

Sorry, just to be clear. Route would be: London - Beijing (2 days) - Tokyo (4 days) - Shanghai (3 days) - London
