About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

I will be flying to China from LAX to Beijing but with a layover first in Xiamen

I am hoping to make it to BJ, my stay would be 3 days and 3 nights total, am I eligible for the 144-hour free visa? My only concern is that I have a layover in Xiamen, round-trip.

You need a visa for China.
