About:Soft Sleeper

Train from Yichang to Zhangjiajie

It appears that the K type from Yichang to Zhangjiajie have 3 classes of seats:hard seat, hard sleeper and soft sleeper. Is the soft sleeper the compartment with 4 beds? If so, can my husband and I buy out the entire compartment, or do I have to show 2 more passports for the other 2 beds?

Based on the policy, one can pnly buy one ticket. Like you said, if you have two more passports in hand, it is possible to get extra 2 beds to have the whole cabin. However, I have to say, there is still a possibility that the train staff may sold the bed again if they understand the beds are in fact empty. This do not happen often but still a possibility.
