flight tickets to attend visa free conditions

Question

I'm Brazilian going from Paris to Shanghai in a direct flight, to stay there for 5 days inside the city.To attend the Visa Free Policy, can I return to France by another european country (Shanghai _ Frankfurt _ Paris) or do I need to pass through some asian country like Taiwan, Vietnam or Singapore?This second flight from Shanghai_3rd country_Paris could be a single fligh with one stop in this 3rd country, or do I need to book two different tickets (Shangai_3rd country and them 3rd country_Paris?Thank you very much

It's quite simple. Only two flights matter: your flight immediately before China and your flight immediately after China. Everything else on your itinerary is irrelevant. These two flights must be Country A-China-Country B.  A and B can be any countries (except China), or Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, but A must be different from B. It doesn't matter how long you spend in A or B. Your two flights can be on different tickets and/or different carriers if you want.
