Flight tickets to attend Visa Free conditions

I'm Brazilian going from Paris to Shanghai in a direct flight, to stay there for 5 days inside the city.
To attend the Visa Free Policy, can I return to France by another european country (Shanghai _ Frankfurt _ Paris) or do I need to pass through some asian country like Taiwan, Vietnam or Singapore?
This second flight from Shanghai_3rd country_Paris could be a single fligh with one stop in this 3rd country, or do I need to book two different tickets (Shangai_3rd country and them 3rd country_Paris?
