and want to work as musician in hotel,  is it necessary for musician to provide a bachelors degree to apply for Z?

Hi, you are supposed to get a work Z type to work in mainland China legally. You can try to change the family visa into a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go back to your home country for that. You can have a try.
