Police clearance certificate from Germany for Z work permit

Hi
I need to apply for Z work permit for China. My employer have asked for police certificate in English language. In Germany it is issued in German language and it is authenticated by Chinese consulate. Do I need to translate the document to English or the German language document will work which is authorized by Chinese consulate in Germany.
