China travel with US passport expiring in less than 6 months

I have a multiple entry ("M") Chinese visa that expires 25 March, 2025. My United States passport expires 22 October, 2018. I need to travel to China in June or July of 2018. Will the Chinese government allow my entry and exit to China without a problem?

Based on my experience, your entry will be allowed if the stay duration on yourb M visa is not too long. However, to play safe, you had better renew your passport if time permits. And after you get the new passport, you can take both passports to enter China and there is no need to apply for a new visa.
