About:China Visa Exemption

Interaction with the Shenzhen visa on arrival

Do you need to serve out a certain time outside mainland China before re-entering?

For example, say I fly into Shanghai from another country, stay under the 144-hour free transit, and fly to Hong Kong. If I then entered Hong Kong and travelled immediately to the land border with Shenzhen, would I still be allowed to get the 5-day voa?

Hi, it's possible for you to still be allowed to get the 5-day voa for Shenzhen. If you are worried, you can call the Luohu port to confirm this beforehand.
