Two Itineraries I'm not sure about

Hi,
I'd like to take advantage of the 144 free transit. But is it possible to use it twice in the same month? I'm thinking of going LAX-PVG(Shanghai) - doing 4 days there sightseeing and Disney, then a flight to Hong Kong (which I think qualifies as a third destination. Then I'd like to do Hong Kong to Bejing for 3 days of sightseeing, with a ticket from Beijing to LAX. Would that work? Second option would be cruise out of Shanghai, but if the cruise is 7 days wouldn't I get in trouble on return? Thanks in advance!
