About:Chinese Embassy in Mauritius

Which visa do I need there ?

Hi China Embassy. So, i have a cousin residing there for the last 2 or 3 years.
I'm planning to go for a trip to China and would like to spend 3 months or more (if possible).
He told me to apply for the VISA S2 and not tourist, as he is already in China, Kunming Yunan. Ans what is the VISA S2 and its purpose...
He got a mauritius/china nationality and he lives there.

Kindly tell me if this is possible or should I apply for another VISA.

S2 is issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days. "Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.

I personally think you can try to apply for the S2 because you need a long stay duration.

Thanks for replying.
Yeah going there to visit a family which is considered as chinese as he has his chinese nationality.
Okay I will come see you at belle rose on monday.
Will try the s2 before the tourist and see what they gonna tell me
